Successful Applicants will have these Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in medical billing, claims resolution, and CPT coding with a minimum of 2 years

  • In-depth knowledge of medical insurance, medical terminology, and the claims process.

  • Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.

  • Experience with medical billing software and electronic claims submission platforms.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex billing and claims issues.

  • Knowledge of medical appeal processes and the ability to draft and submit appeals effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (CPC, CBCS, or similar) is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate with team members.

  • A positive, optimistic outlook, especially when faced with challenges or difficult claims.

  • A passion for celebrating team achievements, fostering morale, and contributing to a supportive work culture.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process medical claims in accordance with payer guidelines and policies.

  • Resolve claims denials, underpayments, and discrepancies through thorough analysis and effective communication.

  • Work with insurance companies and healthcare providers to correct claim issues and ensure accurate reimbursement.

  • Submit and track appeals for denied claims, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with CPT coding standards, payer requirements, and HIPAA regulations.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of claims and appeals activities.

  • Provide recommendations to improve the billing and claims resolution process.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as coding and insurance departments, to resolve complex billing issues.

  • Assist in identifying trends in claim rejections and denials to implement preventive measures.

  • Foster and maintain positive, professional relationships with team members and stakeholders.

  • Approach challenges with a hopeful and solution-oriented mindset, keeping morale high even when faced with setbacks.

  • Celebrate team achievements and milestones, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Additional Information:
This is a temporary contract role with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
Rate commensurate with experience.
Flexible work environment (remote or hybrid options available with secure private environment to work in)

Masters+ Level Practitioners, Part-time & Full-Time Positions may be available at Griffin & Associated Practitioners in Eugene & Bend Oregon. Associate level Oregon practitioners will be considered. High need areas at our practice include these areas: Licensed Clinicians, EMDR trained, able to work with children and teens, open to in person work, and able to offer hours after 5:00pm Pacific Time.

 

Our space is peaceful & positive and we welcome team members who are motivated to maintain these characteristics. You will be practicing with a team of compassionate practitioners who stand for wellness and intentional authentic living. Our practice serves a variety of clientele, but our best fits are clients who are ready for change and actively engaged in the healing and the therapeutic process. Practitioners provide services remotely either onsite or at an approved home office setting and In-person. There is only a 6 client per week requirement to be a part of our team and your schedule will be created based on yours and the clients needs. You provide the quality clinical care and our group provides the rest.

  • At least 1 year of mental health treatment experience that includes considerable time spent directly counseling individuals, families, and/or in groups

 

Responsibilities

  • Work to improve the behavioral health, well-being, and quality of life of individuals served.

  • Maintain clinician licensing/certification & liability insurance.

  • Make copies, send faxes, and occasionally assist a client in completing forms

  • Conduct assessments, treatment planning, records management, and other administrative or clinical responsibilities related to supporting your caseload

  • Respond in a timely manner to team communications and requests

  • Must be able to pass criminal background & substance checks.

 

Schedule, Benefit, & Pay Information

You will have some flexibility regarding your schedule creation. A high need time is Afternoons & Evenings. However, this is not a requirement. *Full-Time Employees have access to an expansive Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance plan. Access to No-Show protections, Holiday pay, 401K with matching, Life Insurance Policy, EAP, Training Reimbursement, and Self-Care Reimbursement. Income is above industry averages and starting income at our practices averages between $80,000-$130,000 per year and is dependent upon degree, experience, clinical hours worked, & specialty training.
